I am a True Blooded Ginebra

I was a kid back then when my 'Kuya' is watching PBA, of course during that time I have no like on basketball especially on PBA because there was this mentality that I have (During my kid days) that PBA is just a CopyCat to the NBA. But everytime I caught my Kuya watching PBA it's always the game of Ginebra.

Back then I never thought that Ginebra is the most popular ball club in the Philippines and I really get irritated to my brother because he is always switching the channel to TV5 (They are the Broadcaster of the PBA games back then) During I am watching cartoons or anime during the afternoon. I have no choice back then but to of course just follow him because he's older than me. So I had no choice, I have to watch with my Kuya the game. That was the first time I watched PBA and it was the year 2005 and it is the Fiesta Conference where Ginebra wins the Championship.

After that game, I always watch with my kuya the game of Ginebra. Back then the only player I knew is Mark Caguioa because my Kuya is always Cheering for him, So every time he cheers with Mark Caguioa I also cheer with him "Go Kagwya" that's how I Pronounce his name back then. And so after that my love for Ginebra Grew I started to watch their games alone even without the reminder of my kuya that it is their game on that day or this day, I'm just figuring it out when is the game of Ginebra.

Now that I'm a Teenager My love for the team even grew, My support for them is grew unwavery. Some people think of me as a weirdo because of how I'm affected to the team. I don't know I just feel different for this team whenever they win I feel so happy it's like I'm the most happiest man in the world and when they lose I feel like I lost something BIG.

There was this one time, last year during the 2012 Commissioner's Cup when Mark Caguioa was seriously Injured his eye during their game on B-meg (Now San Mig Coffee) I was Shocked, I don't know what I felt, My heart just started to beat fast and there are even tears in my eyes especially when I saw Mark Caguioa is on blood. I'm shocked, I even asked myself "Why am I so affected on what Happened to Mark Caguioa? Why did I even get emotional?"
I don't know what happened to me back then, I just burst down. My brother also caught me he even told me "Grabe bakit ka sobrang affected diyan si Mark Caguioa lang yan!" I replied back "Ewan ko! biglaan nalang ako naging emotional nung nakita ko si Mark Caguioa nang naka higa sa floor!" And by that time I knew it, it wasn't just bad fall there was a cut above his eyebrows! then that gave me more worry, there are so many things running inside my head. "Will this be the end of Mark Caguioa for his Basketball Career?" that is the thought that kept me worrying because seeing your childhood Idol going down on the floor with blood is very heartbreaking. It's like seeing a superhero fell down with no fight in front of you..

I know it's very weird for being emotionally intact with a basketball team, but this is what I am or maybe all of us Ginebra fan we are very passionate about the team. Maybe it's also the type of game they are bringing onto us fans. There is something different when Ginebra is playing, the excitement is different even they win or lose they never failed to bring us a heart-throbbing game.

Maybe from the start Ginebra blood is really flowing inside of me. I never regretted anything that I say, post, tweet about this team. This team will be in my heart forever even though I grow old, my love for this team will never fade even though Mark Caguioa will be traded to other team (I think not) and whatever you say about me I will still be proud and will still bleed Red And White!

MMDA (PBA)

MMDA is a government organization which take cares of the traffic, roads and some others things here in Metro Manila. But the PBA also have a MMDA but it's different, they don't rule the roads neither takes care of the traffic but this MMDA of the PBA but many say that they will rule the court in the future. MMDA is the new Backcourt Tandem of Global Port Composed of Miller, Mercado, David and Aguilar which makes it MMDA.

This Backcourt Tandem was just organized this PBA 2013 Commissioner's Cup because of the blockbuster trade which led Sol Mercado (Meralco) and Japeth Aguilar (TnT) to Global port while Rey Guevarra and Josh Vanlandingham was sent to Meralco while Rabeh Al-Hussaini was sent to Talk N' Text.

Before the start of the Commissioner's Cup, Many people Speculates that Global port will be a contender this conference not unlike the past conference (All-Filipino) where they ended with a 1-10 standing.

How can't they be a contender? They got the tools they need for this Conference: A Top scorer, A athletic forward with a great shotblocking technique, A great court general,  A veterans presence. (not to mention his 2 time MVP award) and a new coach (Coach Junel Baculi) Now tell me how can't they compete against the top teams right now in the PBA. And now they are being reinforced by a Import who is great in Hustle plays, Great in shotblocking but only Average in scoring.

Now with a 2-2 record this is the first time where Global Port reach a 2 win mark. Yes it shows a good sign because even in a 2-2 record they remain at the 5th standing atop with the top teams like Rain or shine, San Mig Coffee and Barangay Ginebra San Miguel. With those 4 games the MMDA combination showed a great basketball game even in their losses.

I know it's early to say that Global port will be a playoff contender but who knows? With this Caliber they have I can say that they have a high chance to enter the playoffs but who knows? the ball is round and anything can happen within this season.

Sol Train to the Port

There have been a lot of trade during the hiatus of the PBA for it's Commissioners cup, but the most interesting trade is Where Meralco gave up one of their best player to Global Port. That player is Sol "the Sol train" Mercado.

Off from a great start in the last Philippine Cup, Sol is confident that he wouldn't be traded of by his team because of his great performance and contributions in the Meralco Team. But what shocked him the most is that He was putted in the Trading Block alongside with his teammates Kelly Nabong, JP Belencion and Yousif Aljamal. They will be traded exchange for Rey Guevarra, Vic Manuel and Josh Vanlandingham of the Global Port.

Sol was "devastated" when he heard the news that the deal was signed He even posted many things on twitter about how disappoint is he about the trade. But as a professional basketball player, he just accepted it and said that it is part of his career life and it's part of being a pro Baller.

Meralco said that it was part of it's rebuilding program for the future. They traded Sol so that they could get fresher players and have the 1st draft pick in the year 2015.

This Question will remain in our heads: Does Meralco did a Great move for trading Sol Mercado to Global Port or is it gonna be a dark "era" for the Bolts?

But Let's see what will happen to Sol train, The Meralco bolts and the Global port by tuning in to PBA on AKTV. Commissioners Cup will start at Feb 8

Small talk: Coach siot vs The whole barangay

Barangay Ginebra San Miguel just had their 3rd lossing skid last sunday against the Petron Blaze Boosters and the fans became worried about their favorite team. most of them are blaming the coach of Ginebra; Coach Siot Tangquincen. I've read many comments bashing Coach Siot Especially when they are losing. Most of the comments I read is: "Palitan na ang coach!", "Hindi talaga aasenso ang Ginkings kung si Siot pa rin ang coach".

But didn't they know that Coach Siot steered Ginebra into 2 consecutive Championship last 2004-2005 conferences? Have they lost confidence to Coach Siot?

Yes we've given them many chances in the past conferences, but this doesn't mean we should bash Coach Siot whenever we lose. But why is it when we win we are all praises to the whole staff & Players of the Ginebra but when we lose we only blame Coach siot? Is it really Coach Siot's fault? Don't we tend to look at the players fault?

Yes it's very heartbreaking for our favorite team to lose but this can't give us a reason to bash any member of the team, If you're really a true "Ginking" then you will just have to support the team on everything they have. We can't always wish for a win, of course in basketball there is always one team who losses, no team manage to finish 1 conference without any losses.

Losing is part of every game, it's just how we fans accept it. Yes I do get frustrated when Ginebra lose but I don't blame Coach Siot or any player I'm just telling myself that they'll bounceback next game and win or lose I'll still support them. This also goes for all PBA fans.

If you want to watch the games of Ginebra tune in to PBA on AKTV on IBC13 4:00 pm - 8:00pm every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Air21 new season, new flight

If I say Air 21, many would say "That's the underdog in the PBA". But if you would ask me they're not anymore a underdog or a team to be taken granted. This season I can assure you that Air21 will be one of the teams in the PBA who can explode Big! As in really Big!

With the coming of the new rookies like Yousef Taha,Simon atkins and the coming of the veterans like Wynne Arboleda,KG Canaleta, Rob reyes,Noy Baclao and John Wilson They sure will bring a lot of firepower needed by Coach Franz Pumaren.

The start of the new season Air21 lost against the Barako Bull Energy Cola but it ended in with a 80-97 score. In their second game they won against the Global port Batang Pier with a 88-81 and in their third game they lost against Rain or Shine, A nail-biter game with a score of 99-98.

WIth these scores it shows that Air21 is not the same Air21 last season who are trailing a huge number of points by their opponents. With the Orchestration of Wynne Arboleda,With the 3-point shooting of RenRen ritualo and John wilson, With the inside presence of Rob Reyes,Noy Baclao and Yousef Taha, With the energy dunks brought by KG Canaleta, how could they be trailling in big numbers now?

Maybe Coach Franz Pumaren had already found the right combination for his team, and what I think they now only lack in chemistry because it's their first time working for one team (well maybe not for KG and John Wilson who were a former Ginebra San Miguel and also for Rob reyes and Noy Baclao Who were a former Petron Blaze Booster) but maybe once they got a right chemistry I'm sure they'll become explosive in the future and maybe one day they will fly again towards the championship like the Air21 in the past 2008 Fiesta Conference.
