Mark Caguioa's been known as the 'Heart of Ginebra' and Mark "the Spark" Caguioa. He's been the frontline of ginebra's offense since he was drafted. He's been getting 30-40 minutes of play and scoring as much as 15+ points per game, His athleticism is one of the best in the league and He's always been the starting 5 of the team.
but that was not the case today..
Mark's Minutes starts to diminish, He still scores the same but not consistent anymore, His athleticism is starting to wither (Old age might be the reason) and now he's a bench player and only gets the starting nod sometimes.
Most of the fans were able to find out the problem at last night's game, Mark Caguioa sat down the whole game and was only re deployed at the last 6 minutes of the game for he was struggling. But this isn't the first time Mark's been struggling, After he got sick (flu) his gameplay became different as if something is still holding him back. He also showed frustration because of his diminishing minutes.

Before the start of this season, Mark Caguioa Admitted and agreed on what's his new role will be for there are a lot of new recruits for the team that could surely carry them.
As a Basketball player you really can't hide frustrations. As of the part of Mark you really can't blame him if he were frustrated on the minutes he got right now. of Course you will got used to being the frontliner of the team which played 30-40 minutes a game and now it slowly diminish but luckily not gone.
Ginebra is cruising on with a 9-2 standing and as far as Caguioa's concerned even though he gets limited minutes as long as the team wins, it's fine with him.
but there are still things that you cannot remove in a Mark Caguioa
He can a spark, he will try his best to be the spark
He is a vocal leader, when his teammates are down he is ready to talk in front of his teammates
When the team needs encouragement he will give you loads of encouragement
When the team is in disarray, he steps up and becomes the leader.
and many other things just to help the team
You see Mark Caguioa will always be a hero for the team, even though he went being a role player that's only for the game but off court you can see that he's still the Pillar of this team. He is still "Jawo The 2nd". He is still "The King". He is still "the Heart and Soul of this Ginebra Squad".
Yes People will now doubt on Caguioa's skills but they can't ever doubt on what he had did for the Philippine Basketball and this so called Ginebra Squad.
Even with his limited minutes and scores..
Caguioa will always be the hero of the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel on and off the court.
